Camp Navajo Army Depot
is a training site for all branches of the military and a world class
materials storage and handling facility. Originally established as Navajo
Ordnance Depot in 1942 as a federal ammunition storage facility, the Navajo Camp
was to provide storage and shipment of explosives and to conduce recovery and
disposal of outdated or deteriorated
ammunition.
Camp Navajo Army
Depot is located in Bellemont Arizona, just 12 miles from
Flagstaff and 17 miles from Williams Arizona. It is operated by the National
Guard.
